Summer on the French Riviera has its own way of taking over. One moment the streets are quiet, and

the next, there's music drifting through the air, fireworks lighting up the sky, and a feeling that

something unforgettable is always just about to happen. If you're planning to be there, these eight events

should be at the top of your list.

Festival of Pyrotechnic Art in Cannes

When Cannes does fireworks, it doesn’t settle for a few bright lights over the water. The Festival of

Pyrotechnic Art is an international competition, turning the night sky into a masterpiece several times

each summer. Teams from around the world compete, blending music, colour, and technical wizardry i

nto breathtaking displays you’ll feel right down to your fingertips. If you're lucky enough to have one of the luxury holiday rentals in Cannes with a terrace, you might just have the best seat in town without ever leaving home.

Date; July 4th – August 24th

International Jazz Festival in Juan-les-Pins

There’s something about hearing jazz while the sea whispers nearby that feels just right. Since 1960, t

he International Jazz Festival in Juan-les-Pins has been pulling legends and newcomers alike to its

beachfront stage. Ella Fitzgerald once sang here under the stars; today, the festival still swings between

big names and surprising young talents. It’s casual yet electric, elegant but relaxed — just like summer

are supposed to be on the Riviera.

Date: July 10th–20th

Nice Jazz Festival

The Nice Jazz Festival brings the whole city to life. Big names, fresh talent, and music that rolls through

the warm evening air — it all comes together under the palm trees in the heart of the city. One of the

oldest jazz festivals in Europe, it weaves new beats and old legends into a week that fills the city with

music. Imagine standing in Place Masséna as the sun goes down and the first notes float across the

crowd — it’s a feeling that’s hard to explain but very easy to fall for. There's an energy here that feels

easy, open, and impossible to resist, whether you're a jazz lover or just chasing the summer rhythm.
Date: July 23rd – 25th

Monte-Carlo Summer Festival

If Monte Carlo had a middle name, it would probably be ‘spectacle.’ Every summer, the Monte-Carlo

Summer Festival transforms the principality into one of Europe’s brightest stages. Global stars take over

the legendary Salle des Étoiles and Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo, and each show feels like an event in

itself. Whether it's pop, classical, or something in between, the glamour is impossible to miss. Guests

staying in luxury residences in Monaco often find themselves just a few graceful steps away from the

music.
Date: July 24th-27th

Menton Music Festival

Nestled between sea and mountains, Menton feels almost like a dream — and the Menton Music Festival

only makes it more so. Held in the stunning square of the Saint-Michel Basilica, with the sea as a

backdrop, the festival is a love letter to classical music. For more than 70 years, its spellbinding concerts

have drawn some of the world’s finest musicians. The real magic, though, is how easy it is to lose track

of time as the music blends with the warm night air and the distant hush of the waves.

Date: July 25th-August 7th

Diamond League Monaco

Speed, precision, grace — not just on yachts this time, but on the track. The Diamond League in Monaco

gathers the world’s best athletes for one of the most prestigious events in international athletics.

Watching a race here isn’t just about records; it’s about feeling the energy crackle through the stadium, a

heartbeat of pure competition. It’s the kind of evening that reminds you that Monaco, for all its

refinement, also knows a thing or two about raw adrenaline.
Date: July 10th

Jasmine Festival in Grasse

Grasse may be famous for its perfumes, but in August, the whole town smells like jasmine. The Jasmine Festival celebrates the flower that helped make Grasse the perfume capital of the world. Expect floats dripping with blooms, parades where petals rain down like confetti, and streets alive with music, dance, and the unmistakable scent of summer. It’s a festival made for strolling, laughing, and perhaps deciding, impulsively, to stay in luxury villas for rent in the South of France for a few weeks longer than planned.

Date: August 1st – 3rd

Bastille Day

Few things feel as French — or as joyous — as Bastille Day on the Riviera. The 14th of July brings a heady mix of parades, fireworks, and open-air parties stretching from Monaco to

Cannes. In Villefranche-sur-Mer, the celebrations spill right onto the waterfront, with boats lighting up

the harbour and the mountains echoing back the sounds of music and laughter. If you're lucky enough to

rent a villa in Villefranche-sur-Mer, you’ll find yourself right in the heart of it all, glass in hand,

watching the night sky catch fire in every colour imaginable.
