Day 450 (Friday) We went to watch a tribute to David Bowie last night in the Citadel. The band weren’t the best but the atmosphere was electric – what a terrific location to pay tribute to this legend. Bowie kept his yacht in La Darse port in the 90s and I was very friendly with his crew who fed me on two Christmas days and I still have a dressing gown of his. Huw went to Nice this morning to pick up the new shiny red scooter and it’s beautiful! This is our private parking space next to the flat. And check out our fab number plate Unfortunately, the salesman gave us the wrong helmet, he gave me a medium red one but I need a large so I can’t play with it until I get the right helmet but I did start trying to get the knack of getting it on and off the stand! Day 449 (Thursday) I had to go to the dentist this morning and was there for just under an hour and it was very unpleasant. Karine gave me two injections and started drilling, it was fine for a while but when she moved to a different tooth it hurt quite a lot so she gave me a third injection but she still managed to make me laugh while her fingers were in my mouth. As she was showing me to the door she gave me ‘ les bisous’ (the cheek kisses) instead of a handshake, I love this country! I can’t remember if I’ve taken this photo   before so if I have I apologise but this is the house opposite the dentist – those windows and shutters are not real, it’s a very clever mural. When I got home I didn’t feel very well at all, I was in pain and I felt quite sick so I had a lie down for a bit.
