Day 2637 (Tuesday) 27 th August 2024 This is Saint Paul de Vence again Happy birthday me – what a horrible number! Ah well, let’s enjoy it! This was my prezie from Huw – how exciting is this? A helicopter ride from Monaco around the coast and back. Suzanne called in with a prezie for me – a brand new jigsaw and a bottle of Prosecco – how incredibly kind. At 12.30 we went to the Mayssa and it was all very lovely, it’s such a beautiful spot. I was pleasantly surprised when Huw ordered a glass of champagne to start – you forget how delicious champagne is. I had lamb and mashed potatoes and Huw had scallops on a bed on leeks. The table I wanted was booked – gits but we had the best dessert ever – it was called a passion fruit exotic crumble tiramisu, there was nothing tiramisu about it but it was fantastic!
