Day 1963 (Sunday) 23 rd October 2022 There were two cruise ships in the bay this morning, it was a while before we realised there were two because the other one is behind this one. There were also lots of small yachts out, I’m not sure what they are doing but it was lovely to see so much action in the bay. We met Pat and Dee in the Le Phare before going to the Palmiers for lunch where we met Suzanne. I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to have a race while there are two cruise ships in the bay but they did. These poor French people were saying ‘excuse moi’ all the time trying to get past the tourists. Most of these people were tied together and we have no idea why. They started the race in Beaulieu, then swam to Villefranche (in their shoes) and then run some more. Day 1962 (Saturday) 22 nd October 2022 We went to Le Phare last night and there was quite a crowd and we had a good laugh, I had to wear cotton trousers and a blouse but no jacket was required. This was sunrise this morning This morning it was sunny again and I’m back in my summer dress during the day and long trousers in the evening. Huw went up to the big apartment to do some odd-jobs and went shopping and took this lovely photo. The next guest arrives soon and she is staying for five months and is bringing a cat! Apparently she is British but lives in America and we have no idea why she is staying so long in such a big apartment. We will have to do a deal with her to clean it at least twice a month.
