Day 2067 (Friday) 27 th November I had an early start this morning because Eduard and Olga are having an extra class every Friday morning and when I walked to the station the light was beautiful.   When I got to Monaco I was very brave and took the lift down to the stadium and I didn’t get lost – hooray! When you leave the lift you walk through this tunnel to an enormous shopping centre. It makes it a lot quicker to get to work  I spent a very challenging hour with Eduard and had a short break on the balcony before working with Olga. Before leaving, Eduard presented me with a copy of the books he has written. We had been doing phrasal verbs today and he said ‘I want you to have these books because I look up to you.  This one looks readable  But I don’t even understand the title of this one – I told you he was clever, didn’t I? I had 15 minutes between classes and Bradley’s place is very close to Eduard’s so I had time to eat a sandwich in the garden. The Chri...

Day 2066 (Thursday) 26 th November It was lovely and sunny this morning but there was a definite chill in the air so I had to wear a jacket. Basque Alex put this gorgeous photo of the sky on WhatsApp taken in their beautiful country house.  A new homeless person has appeared in Villefranche and lives on the bridge next to the train station. He has so much stuff bags and bags of stuff and lots of boxes. Two policemen were talking to him this morning but they didn’t seem to be moving him along. This photo doesn’t show how much stuff he has but you can get the picture. Natacha sent me a text earlier warning me that there were delays on the trains but mine was on time so I sent her a text in French and her reaction was great, she sent me and smiley face and three thumbs ups! I really must try speaking more. Bradley was in a bit of a funny mood when I arrived but he soon calmed down and actually did some work. He hugged me three times today, I feel very sorry that he has so litt...

Day 2065 (Wednesday) 25 th November I had a lovely lie in this morning sunbathing in bed, then spent a considerable amount of time preparing my lessons for the rest of the week. Dee came visiting and we were amazed by how brave Badger was with her She dropped some computer disks off from Pat to Huw who is going to help him sort out his issue so she brought Huw some cakes to say thank you. Huw then filled out his attestation claiming to do some essential shopping in the garden centre in Saint Jean so he could give me a lift to Florence’s home. The shop that Saint Jean has that Beaulieu doesn’t is a garden centre so if he does get stopped he might have to go and buy a plant. Because we went on Kisbee I wore my parka for the first time this winter, it was pretty cold on the scooter so I’m glad I wore it. This Santa has appeared near Florence’s house – quite tacky Ocean was a bit late so I played with the dogs while I waited Ocean showed me her English book with the grammar rules an...
