Day 933 (Sunday) 29 th December 2019 Last night I had a text from Chadwick with his seating plan for New Year’s Day and it was appalling – he wanted to put all the couples on different tables because he claimed that we spend too much time with our partners. I very firmly refused to go along with this and Huw and I came up with a far better plan and I sent it to him saying that I didn’t want to argue by text and suggested meeting up this morning to discuss it and he agreed after a number of texts going back and fore. Chadwick is a rather arrogant, self-opinionated man who is very used to getting his own way so I was amazed this morning when I got a text saying that he agreed with our plan – success! It was a bit cloudy this morning so we did the cleaning instead of going up the mountain from Beaulieu because the forecast is much better tomorrow and other than check-ins and outs we have the week off – hooray. Day 932 (Saturday) 28 th December 2019 Badger was delightful last night then we got back from the bar Had a nice lie in this morning and it was warm and sunny but it clouded over a bit this afternoon. After brunch we went up to the big red apartment to get it ready for New Year’s Eve’s guests. When we got there we couldn’t get in, someone had been in there and double locked both doors. We tried numerous times and in the end I had to phone the owner to find out who had been in there. She was as surprised as we were and to her knowledge nobody had been in there since her son was there last month. Huw had been there on Christmas Eve to check everything was OK and it was so someone has been in there since then. Finally we managed to get in through the main door but the side door was still buggered.
