Day 779 (Sunday) 28 th July 2019 We had a lovely lazy day today sunbathing and pottering and I’m happy to say that the wonderful blue sky is back and it’s lovely and warm without too much humidity so yesterday’s storm did some good. Villefranche just doesn’t look right in the rain, does it? Our flowers are looking good after the rain last night But the lavender isn’t looking too good Sorry to be a cat person but Badger was seriously cute yesterday evening so I took a series of photos of him.   Day 778 (Saturday) 27 th July 2019 Thoroughly enjoyed a lie in till 9.30 this morning – he did bite me at about 6am but I went straight back to sleep. We had planned on spending the day on the beach today but Huw looked at the weather forecast and it warned us of a storm coming this afternoon. We had also planned to go to Monaco on the boat this evening with Iain and Nancy to watch the world fireworks competition so that won’t be happening either. This is the first full day off I’ve had in ages and it was a non-starter! I sunbathed on the balcony for a few hours and at around 2pm the clouds gathered and drove me indoors. Day 777 (Friday) 26 th July 2019 Thank god it is finally Friday. Thanks to Mr. Badger I got some lovely photos of the light at 6am this morning – he has gone from biting my bum to wake me up to biting my feet – just gentle nips but they wake me up. Huw was driven into the living room at 4.30am today – I really hope this phase doesn’t last too long. He’s been through many phases but this is the first one that makes us lose sleep. But I was pleased with these photos I had no problem getting to school today and I managed to get inside before 9am. It was pretty hot especially in the classroom with only one fan for 17 people! Lots of the students were struggling and so was Melissa. I’m fine with this heat, it was the one at the beginning of July that floored me. Everybody is complaining about it and there are even road sign warning us to be careful during the canicule (heatwave)   We had four students leaving us today, Adam from Lithuania ...
