Day 3036 (Tuesday) 30 th September 2025 It was another lovely warm day and we went to Nice for our weekly kebab in the park. Sadly it’s now time to wear a hoodie while on the scooter but it’s still lovely and warm in the sunshine. Going back to the weird French traditions, here are some more… There are up to 5 different meals to eat in a day . French traditions surrounding the number of times you eat in a day may be a little different than what you are accustomed to. On average, most people in France eat a minimum of 2 to 3 meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, there are two additional meals in the day, which are optional. Tasting: Le goûter – optional between 4 and 6 pm. Around 4:30 pm, when children get home from school, they usually take a goûter (a taste), which is like a snack but not really because it’s a scheduled mealtime. This goûter is always sweet and can be anything from Nutella on bread, pain au lait, brioche or a cookie. People eat much later ...

Day 3035 (Monday) 29 th September 2025 This is Eze and this is Villefranche-sur-Mer. It was another lovely sunny day and our thermometer said it was 30 degrees in direct sunshine. Day 3034 (Sunday) 28 th September 2025 This is Menton and this is Eze Village looking at Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat. Last night Huw had to take the extension out of the table after having dinner with his brother and family and Badger knows the noises and was soon helping him. Huw is lying on the floor on his back and this is Badger’s little game. These are the photos from the parade yesterday. This is Rue Obscure and this is the square petanque. It was another lovely day but quite cool out of the sun. We went to Le Phare and had a beer with Pat and Chadwick and then we went to Elliott’s and Bobbie’s for lunch. There was a cruise ship in the bay again and town was packed, we even had to wait for a table in Bobbie’s.
