Day 3006 (Sunday) 31 st  August 2025 This is Antibes and this is Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat.   Chadwick sent me a lovely photo of the moon last night, we can’t see it from our balcony because of the house next door. We went into Nice this morning and while Huw was waiting for our weekly kebab he took this photo – the kid had obviously had enough and just sat on the floor and wasn’t going to budge.   After our kebab in the park we rode down to the Old Port and I couldn’t resist taking another photo of the lovely silver car, which is called ‘a Sunday in Nice’. From here we went to look at the war memorial, it’s very impressive. The following photos of the memorial are not mine. Day 3004 (Friday) 29 th  August 2025 This is one of the cathedrals in Nice and this is Mandelieu-La-Napoule. All is well in the world again and we have our picture-perfect blue sky and it’s sunny, it’s a bit windy but lovely. There was another cruise ship in the bay so lots of tourists. We finally got to Eze after waiting two days to go and it was absolutely rammed. There were tourists everywhere but we were quietly confident that as soon as we got to the Chevre d’Or it would be a lot more relaxed. We were wrong – there was a queue of tourists waiting to go in, how have these people found out about our little piece of paradise? We turned back and headed back to Villefranche. We were heading to the Jolly Whale in La Darse when we saw Pat and Dee on the top road and they asked us to join them in Le Lounge. The food was pretty basic but nice enough and we washed it down with a cold beer – so much for my birthday in the Chevre d’Or. When we got home we were really pleased to see that w...
