  Day 2001 (Wednesday) 30 th November 2022. Summer is back! 32 degrees in direct sunlight – it won’t feel like that later when we’re on Kisbee going to Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat but for now it’s bliss.   Day 2000 (Tuesday) 29 th November 2022. We woke up and it’s winter! It was really quite cold and we had to put the heater on in the bathroom for the first time this year! There was a cruise ship in the bay and I felt really sorry for the passengers Huw went to do some shopping and saw this barrier across our street. So we can still use the road but cars can’t, which will stop all the tourists getting lost and having to reverse back out when they get to our house because it’s the narrowest part of Rue du Poilu. My boss in Cannes rang me this morning and I am to start in the Maybourne hotel on December 15 th ! I should have started on October 4 th , then it was December 5 th and now it’s the 15 th ! Then they’ll all take two weeks off for Christmas and we go back on January 5 th !    I’m going to have one man one-to-one and then three groups, one of four and the other two of five. I can’t believe how long it has taken to get started – I’m still not holding my breath!  Apéro to digest

  Day 1998 (Sunday) 27 th November 2022 Suzanne saw the penguins We were invited to Tamsin and Christian’s for lunch today and it was fantastic – an Irish stew! Their dog is gorgeous It was another beautiful day and they have a view of the fort They have bought the flat next door and knocked down the wall between them and now they have a huge flat – 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms – wow!   We had a great lunch and sat outside for most of it We moved indoors at about 4pm because it got cold and thoroughly enjoyed an Irish stew with mashed potatoes.   This was followed by a perfect French cheese plate   This is from Quora Digest Steak, wine or cous cous: What foods really represent France in 2022?
