  Day 1940 (Friday) 30 th September 2022 Nicole rang me again this morning to say that I’m not starting in the Maybourne until the 18 th October.  This beautiful yacht was in the bay this morning and it is called the Sir Robert Baden Powell   The Sir Robert At your command for over 20 years Holiday in paradise under the clear blue sky.   Day 1939 (Thursday) 29 th September 2022 It was another lovely morning and Huw went up to the house he looks after to cut the bougainvillea and he did some shopping. Nicole from Langazur in Cannes rang me today saying that the job in the Maybourne hotel will start on Tuesday and then from the 18 th October I will be going there three times a week. To get there I will have to catch the train to Carnoles (not far from Menton) and then get a shuttle bus up to the hotel which takes 20 minutes. The Jewel of the French Riviera The word is out.   Day 1938 (Wednesday) 28 th September 2022 Huw had to do the pool today and another hour or so with Gino but he was home in time to take me to the toy shop in Nice.  I had a good laugh with Florence but she wasn’t very busy – Nice was quite empty of tourists today – thank god. Gizmo (her dog) was all over me licking my face and hanging around me. The wind really picked up and it wasn’t very nice on Kisbee on the way to Oceane in Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat where Havana, Oceane’s dog, licked my face for an hour!
