Day 480 (Sunday) Huw woke up super early and took this amazing photo of the sunrise It was 35 degrees in the sun at 9am – loving it. After a brunch or real British sausages (yum yum) we decided to go to the fort in Antibes on Kisbee. It took just under an hour and we found a free car park just for the fort. We had to walk along part of the beach of Antibes    and these two women made us laugh – why would you sit with your back to the sea and look at a wall? Day 479 (Saturday) As usual on a Friday evening we walked down to the old town last night to meet Pat and Dee at Beth’s and had a beer for happy hour before going up to Le Phare. We were very surprised to see that none of the usual suspects were there other than Aussie John, Irish Harry and Christian’s parents who are here visiting him. We soon learned that there was a fundraising event up in the church square in which they are raising money to restore the washhouse in the old town. We went to this event last year and I can’t believe it’s been a year! While we were in Le Phare my student Sabrina arrived and joined us and I was really impressed that she could follow most of the conversation because she was talking to five strongly accented Irish people. We decided to join the others and walked up to the church. It was packed and there was a live band there playing just French music and lots of people were dancing and singing alone, there was a great atmosphere.
